Following many years in the capable hands of Charles Henry, the new chair of the General Aviation Awareness Council, Matt Wilkins, was elected at the recent GAAC Board Meeting.
The Board thanked Charles for his many years of service and hard work on various issues including taxation, for which he chaired the APPG for (General) Aviation Taxation Working Group, and supporting Airfields around the country with the help of an able team of highly experienced volunteers.
A Press Release has been issued this morning formally announcing Matt as the new Chairman. Already Matt has been hard at work laying the foundations of the GAAC’s future – Issued in a paper ‘Principal Issues and Opportunities for GA’.
Also this morning, Tuesday 8th October, the GAAC distributed its Response to the Government’s Consultation on the National Planning Policy Framework.
