Dear All,
For those who have not yet seen the change to our Government’s National Planning Policy Framework, the new paragraph added to this Policy is:
105. Planning policies should:
f) recognise the importance of maintaining a national network of general aviation facilities – taking into account their economic value in serving business, leisure, training and emergency service needs, and the Government’s General Aviation Strategy.
Hopefully, the GAAC representation on the APPG which, in no small part was responsible for the above change, will also be recognised by your own member and justify continued support by your Association.
Our next target is to clarify the ‘Brownfield’ issue and have specific Government Policies in place to exclude Airfields from being developed as such.
Kind regards and thanks to those whose efforts have been rewarded.
Charles Henry
GAAC Chairman
