The summer of 2022 saw the British Model Flying Association (Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers) celebrate its Centenary. BMFA is one of the key UK aviation associations that support the work of the GAAC.
There have been a number of events to celebrate the BMFA’s Centenary, including a record attempt which saw 3109 model aircraft airborne across the UK at noon on the 15th May at 263 BMFA Clubs. The BMFA also hosted some garden parties at its National Centre during July. The celebrations will culminate with the association’s AGM and Prize-giving Dinner, which will take place on the 19th November.
